The One Who Got Away This year's focus is human rights and religious freedom. The WFWP has been working to help Toru Goto and his fight for religious freedom in Japan by creating awareness of his kidnapping and torture. Getting the Word Out in Poughkeepsie

I am so happy to report that we had a most wonderful and productive appearance on John Flowers' radio talk show yesterday in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., which airs on WHWV radio, 950 AM. According to Mr. Flowers, his program can reach up to 100,000 listeners, including high officials in the state of New York and beyond. The appearance was thanks to Mr. Luke Higuchi, who set it up for myself (representing WFWP), Ichiko Sudo (representing SAFE and WFWP's Adivisory Board), and Dorothy Hill, whom I invited as our local WFWP chairwoman for that area. The Segye Times of Korea has reported that American religious leaders, human rights activists and Japanese Unificationist victims of kidnapping and confinement held a press conference and protest in front of the Japanese consulate in New York, USA. They urged the ceasing of human rights violations against Japanese Unificationist victims, consisting of kidnapping and confinement, and the immediate release of abducted persons. Rev.
